HMK clients can expect:

In-house claims service. Client employees have the option of calling HMK regarding any claims inquiry or problem. Because of our well-established reputation in the industry we have earned the privilege of being able to deal directly with high-level managers at our carriers and we can get questions answered quickly. We do all the leg work. Clients are not put “on hold” endlessly or transferred to various representatives in a service center.

HR Connect. We provide a no-cost benefit summary website for clients which greatly improves communication between employer and employees. HR administrators can direct employees to a single source where they can obtain information, view, and print or download summaries, forms and documents.

Health Advocate. HMK offers a complimentary Health Advocate who is a trained professional, typically a licensed Registered nurse, who understands the intricacies of the health care system. The Health Advocate works in concert with HMK’s service team to handle grievances, coordinate care among physicians, identify medical experts for rare conditions, and provide assistance with prescription drug issues.

COBRA Administration. Complimentary COBRA services (both Mini-CORBA and Federal COBRA) are available to HMK clients including distribution of coupon books and the collection of premiums. HMK will provide a web portal to track and view the status of all COBRA “eligibles” and participants.

HR360. HMK provides a free HR website created and maintained by HR attorneys. Clients have access to easy, step-by-step guidance on how to comply with a broad range of laws from Health Care Reform, COBRA and FMLA to how to interview, hire and terminate employees. Content highlights include:

  • Compliance steps that clearly explain what an employer needs to do to avoid penalties or potential employee lawsuits
  • Fast, efficient on line HR tools for developing job descriptions and salary benchmarking
  • More than 500 downloadable forms, posters and model notices
  • Federal and state employment law information

Education. Free client seminars focused on controlling health care costs are provided throughout the year. Featured carriers address wellness benefits and offer creative solutions to cost savings.
